The hidden costs nobody else will tell you about
Three line items every South African business owner should ask any AI agency about — including us — before signing:
1. WhatsApp Business API conversation fees
Meta charges R0.30 to R0.80 per conversation (24-hour session window). Marketing-initiated conversations are most expensive. Our Starter includes the first 1,000 sessions/month — beyond that you pay Meta directly.
2. Twilio voice minute charges
AI receptionists run on Twilio. Inbound voice in South Africa is R0.40 to R0.80 per minute. Starter includes 500 min/mo, Growth 1,500, Scale unlimited (fair use).
3. AI inference overage
Most AI agencies use OpenAI or Anthropic and bill the variable cost back to you. We default to Groq Llama 3.3 70B (free tier) with paid Anthropic as a fallback — most clients pay R0 in inference fees. Plans include a guaranteed monthly ceiling.
Pricing if you are not in Cape Town
The monthly retainer is identical whether you are in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria, Sandton, or Stellenbosch. The only variable is on-site setup days — R3,500/day plus travel costs outside the Western Cape. Most clients do remote setup over Zoom and never need on-site work.
Pricing FAQ
Do you require an annual contract?
No. All plans are month-to-month. Cancel any time with 30 days notice. We earn the renewal every month.
What happens after the 30-day guarantee?
If by day 30 you have not saved 10+ hours per week, we refund the full month. No paperwork, no negotiation. To date, we have refunded twice — both clients came back six months later.
Can I switch tiers mid-month?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately — we pro-rate the new tier. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
Is the price in Rand or US Dollars?
For South African clients — strictly Rand, billed via SA EFT or Paystack. For US/Canada clients we have USD pricing on a separate page.
